Glavkosmos with Russian Space Systems Became a Partner in PIXEL Program


Following its policy to promote the products and services of the Russian space industry, Glavkosmos jointly with Russian Space Systems became a partner of the PIXEL program kicked off in Thailand on June 29, 2018.

PIXEL is an initiative of the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency of Thailand (GISTDA) for searching young talented professionals capable to generate new solutions and ideas in application of Earth remote sensing data.

Together with the Russian Space Systems company, Glavkosmos provided GISTDA with the high resolution images made by the Resurs-P satellite to implement the ideas of the program participants.

Special emphasis will be made on the application of remote sensing data for social and economic development of the country. The contestants offering the best solution will be awarded with a money prize.

The Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency of Thailand (GISTDA) is a state organization under the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is the main agency of Thailand in the field of space activities and geo-information. GISTDA tasks include distribution of Earth observation data and products based on them to users around the world.
