22.05.2018

At the upcoming International Symposium on Small Satellites for Earth Observation (4S Symposium 2018), Glavkosmos will present a satellite platform based on the Russian scientific Aist-2D smallsat. This new advanced flight-tested platform might be interesting to potential customers.

This platform will be a part of the turnkey satellite offer which includes satellite manufacturing, launch by Soyuz-2 LV, building of a ground satellite control station, as well as satellite insurance and financial solutions.

The scientific and educational Aist-2D smallsat, jointly developed by Samara University and Progress Space Rocket Center, was orbited in April 2016 in the first launch from the Vostochny spaceport. The satellite is designed for Earth observation in the visible range and for scientific experiments. The satellite payload provides panchromatic Earth images with 1.5m resolution.

The mass of the satellite platform is about 250kg; with a payload and scientific instruments, the mass goes over 530kg.
