Glavkosmos presents capacities of the Russian space industry in the countries of North Africa
MOSCOW, June 27. - Dmitry Loskutov, Director General of Glavkosmos, visited Egypt and Algeria on June 25-26 as part of a Russian delegation led by Yuri Borisov, Head of the State Space Corporation Roscosmos.
The trip made it possible to intensify contacts between enterprises of the space industry on the Russia-Egypt and Russia–Algeria axes. During the meetings that took place – first in Cairo with the Director General of the Egyptian Space Agency, Sherif Sedky, and then in Algeria with the Director General of the Algerian Space Agency, Azzedine Oussedik - Dmitry Loskutov informed in detail his colleagues from Egypt and Algeria about the areas of cooperation.
Special emphasis was given to the perspectives of cooperation between Egyptian and Algerian companies with Russian space industry enterprises in production of spacecraft for various purposes and the use of satellite data received, obtaining launch services, developing national space projects – public or private, building ground infrastructure and training professional personnel.
