Satellites for schoolchildren and students' research launched into orbit
On November 5, 2024, small satellites were successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome as part of the Space-π educational project. Among them are two CubeSats of the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University: Polytech Universe-1 and Polytech Universe-2.
These CubeSat 3U satellites are designed to study the Earth's electromagnetic radiation. The first communication session was successful, the devices are transmitting telemetry. The data obtained will be used by schoolchildren and students for research and scientific projects.
As a reminder, the Space-π Project, organized by the Foundation for Assistance to Innovations, is aimed at launching 100 scientific and educational satellites into Earth's orbit, and Glavkosmos is the main integrator of the project.

With the participation of the Foundation, 450,000 schoolchildren have been involved in science, 25,000 young scientists have received grants for project development.
