Soyuz-FG with Soyuz MS-05 manned spaceship successfully lifted off from Baikonur

July 28, 18:41 Moscow time — Soyuz-FG launch vehicle with Soyuz MS-05 manned transport spaceship successfully lifted off from Launch Pad No.1 (Gagarin’s launch pad) at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The Soyuz MS carries the members of the ISS-52/53 mission. The primary crew is: Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Ryazanskiy, NASA astronaut Randolph Bresnik, and ESA astronaut Paolo Nespoli. The back-up crew included Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei, and JAXA astronaut Norishige Kanai.

Glavkosmos has been acting as a prime coordinator for NASA activities at Baikonur within the space manned programs.
