The Gorizont satellite of BSTU VOENMEKH successfully launched into orbit
Students of BSTU VOENMEKH completed the development and launch of the Gorizont satellite as part of the Space-π scientific and educational project of the Foundation for Assistance to Innovations. The CubeSat was created on the basis of the Geoscan 3U platform and is equipped with advanced technologies for space research. Among them are a system of deployable solar panels for analyzing their operation in space conditions, a module for testing MRAM microcircuits for radiation resistance, a three-axis satellite orientation unit, and a control system with a 4K camera for shooting the Earth's surface.
The Space-π project unites schoolchildren, students, universities, and domestic companies, involving them in the creation of spacecraft and conducting scientific experiments in orbit.
Recall that the Space-π project, organized by the Foundation for Assistance to Innovations, is aimed at launching 100 scientific and educational satellites into Earth's orbit, and Glavkosmos is the main integrator of the project.
