Glavkosmos Showcases the Achievements of the Russian Space Industry in Bengaluru
BENGALURU (INDIA), September 7. - JSC Glavkosmos (part of Roscosmos) is participating in the 9th Bengaluru Space Expo (BSX) 2026, being held in Bangalore, Karnataka, from September 7 to 9.
During the exhibition, Glavkosmos will present Roscosmos enterprises’ products and services through interactive displays. For example, the LET’S GO TO SPACE touch panel enables visitors to learn about Russian cosmodromes and launch vehicles used to provide launch services. The panel also highlights Russian satellite platforms available to customers today and introduces the capabilities of Russia’s orbital Earth-observation constellation. Visitors can view a three-dimensional model of the International Space Station and its Russian segment.
Another interactive exhibit is a CubeSat virtual constructor, allowing potential customers or visitors to assemble a virtual spacecraft in formats from 1U to 12U.
Glavkosmos is also offering augmented reality (AR) mobile applications: one traces the stages of a crewed spaceflight - from the Soyuz-2.1a launch from Baikonur to the docking of the Soyuz-MS with the ISS and the descent module’s return to Earth; the other demonstrates the operation of the Fregat upper stage in orbit.
In addition, the company will present the Sokol-KV-2 emergency-rescue spacesuit, used by cosmonauts during launch, docking, undocking, and landing of the spacecraft.
The three-day event - comprising an exhibition and an international conference on “Using Space for Global Progress: Innovation, Policy, and Economic Growth” - is organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe), and NewSpace India Ltd (NSIL).
As part of the conference and exhibition, a delegation led by Anton Semin, Glavkosmos’ Director General, plans a series of meetings with potential customers to discuss cooperation prospects. Company specialists will also participate in the panel discussion “Human Spaceflight & Deep Space Exploration: The Next Frontier.”
