September 8, 2026

EL ALAMEIN (EGYPT), September 8. — JSC Glavkosmos (part of Roscosmos) is taking part in the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 as a Roscosmos co-exhibitor.

Over the three exhibition days, visitors to the Glavkosmos booth will be able to explore Roscosmos enterprises’ products and the company’s services through interactive displays. For example, the LET’S GO TO SPACE touch panel enables visitors to learn about Russian cosmodromes and launch vehicles used to provide launch services. The panel also showcases Russian satellite platforms currently offered to customers and introduces the capabilities of the Russian orbital Earth observation constellation. Visitors will also be able to view a three-dimensional model of the International Space Station and its Russian segment.

Another interactive exhibit is a CubeSat virtual constructor, allowing potential customers and visitors to assemble a virtual spacecraft in formats from 1U to 12U.

Glavkosmos is also offering exhibition visitors mobile applications featuring augmented reality (AR) technology: one app traces the stages of a crewed spaceflight - from the Soyuz-2.1a launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome to the docking of the Soyuz-MS with the ISS and the descent module’s return to Earth; the other demonstrates the operation of the Fregat upper stage in orbit.

Another exhibit is the Sokol-KV-2 emergency-rescue spacesuit, used by cosmonauts during takeoff, landing, docking, and undocking.

During the exhibition, the Glavkosmos delegation plans to hold a number of business meetings and negotiations with potential customers to discuss prospects for further cooperation.

The event, first launched in 2024, runs from September 8 to 10 at El Alamein International Airport (Arab Republic of Egypt). It brings together organizations operating in the aerospace, defense, and space industries across Africa and the Middle East. The Ministry of Defense of Egypt, the Air Force of Egypt, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Egyptian Space Agency, and EgyptAir, along with industry representatives, are involved in organizing the event.
