Glavkosmos takes part in the 74th International Astronautical Congress in Baku
MOSCOW, October 2. – Ilya Tarasenko, Director General of Glavkosmos JSC (part of Roscosmos), takes part in the 74th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) on October 2-6 as part of a joint Russian delegation led by Yuri Borisov, Head of the State Space Corporation Roscosmos.
In the course of the events of the Congress, the management team of Glavkosmos plans to participate in the work of thematic sessions, hold a number of meetings both as part of the Roscosmos delegation and in a bilateral format. Space-related projects of mutual interest are to be discussed at the meetings.
The International Astronautical Congress is being hosted by the Azerbaijani capital Baku this year and is called “Global Challenges and Opportunities: Give Space a Chance”. The IAC is organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) is the world’s leading space advocacy body with 468 members in 75 countries, including all leading space agencies, companies, research institutions, universities, societies, associations, institutes and museums worldwide.
The Congress events are held with the support and auspices of the Government and the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Glavkosmos, JSC is a subsidiary of the State Space Corporation Roscosmos. The main task of the company is to promote the achievements of the Russian rocket and space industry to world markets and to manage complex international projects.
